City of Ember is a great movie. I saw it at Edwards Theater with my second oldest son, Jaxon, who is 13. It is clean enough that you can sit and watch it with kids of any age.Bill Murray is the mayor of a city that is built deep within the earth. According to my son, Jaxon, this is also a great book.
The city is a ticking time bomb, however, as the the generators get to be 200 years old and as two teenagers try to save the city, despite the wishes of the Mayor Bill Murray.
There are lots of twists and turns, but I mostly like this movie because I felt comfortable watching it with my kids. Definitely a family movie, which is pretty amazing considering most movies aren't.
A definite two thumbs up.
